An Important Siam Canadian Product

Yellowfin sole or limanda aspera is a long living and slow growing fish. The yellowfin sole are found on the outer shelf in winter and moved to shallow waters to spawn and feed in summer. Trawl catcher processors primarily target Yellowfin sole.

Yellowfin sole is an important Chinese seafood. Most of the yellowfin sole goes to China where it is reprocessed into frozen skinless, boneless fillets. We at Siam Canadian do not make Yellowfin sole fillets from cheap Russian raw materials. We follow strict quality control measures while processing yellowfin sole. Our state of the art laboratory checks the product for microorganisms. Our dedicated quality control team maintains a steady and constant evaluation procedure.

Yellowfin sole was the first target species of distant water fleets. Since 1982, the improved condition of the resource has again allowed higher catches. Since the early 1960s Yellowfin sole catches have been mainly utilized for human consumption.

As Siam Canadian has interlinked offices strategically located throughout Southeast Asia, we can procure an abundant supply of Yellowfin sole and Yallowfin Tuna and satisfy completely the demands of our customers. Without compromising on the quality of fish we can consistently deliver our supply at the best possible current market price. We have a highly professional buying team, which manages all aspects of the supply chain. Therefore, we are a contact point on whom our customers can depend upon without any doubts or anxiety.

Siam Canadian remains constantly in touch with the local printers and packaging manufacturers in each market. Therefore, we are able to produce customized labels, bags and other packaging for each customer.

Yellowfin sole females reach 50% maturity at 30 cm and are highly fecund, producing one to three million eggs. Yellowfin sole & Yellowfin Tuna is the primary target of trawl catcher processors. Fishing of yellowfin sole and yellowfin tuna occurs throughout the shelf area. Yellowfin sole were over exploited by foreign fisheries because of which annual catches declined. This increased in 1980s which resulted in increased catch by foreign and joint venture operations. The fishery became fully domestic in 1991.

Siam Canadian sources and delivers an extensive variety of frozen and other value added seafood products, this fish being one of them. The products are procured from around the far east. There is a high demand for Yellowfin sole and Yellowfin tuna meat. Each customer requirement is unique. We make it our business to meet these needs in the most efficient and cost effective manner. We are consistently trying to improve our product offerings and operational efficiencies. We listen carefully to you, who are our customers and do our best to give you the best business bargain. We source Yellowfin sole and Yellowfin tuna from the industries’ premium processors. As we have volume purchasing power, that is why we can give it to you at a highly competitive price. At the same time, we can give you independent packaging for each purchase, with your own brand and private label. We are most capable of meeting all your demands.

Widely Eaten Tasty Fish From Siam Canadian

The sea bass whose scientific name is Lates Calcarifer, belongs to the family of fishes known as perch. Sea Bass is an Australian fish which is nationally and internationally famous. Sea Bass is a highly prized catch and has splendid sporting qualities.

Sea Bass is normally an inhabitant of tropical and sub tropical countries, ranging from southern China to the Persian Gulf and across the equator to northern Australia. The sea bass generally lives in slow moving or still, muddy waters of rivers, creeks, swamps and estuaries. They sometimes are found in near shore islands and reefs.

There are seven distinct varieties of sea bass in the northern Australian rivers. Breeding takes place from mid October to January. An adult sea bass can grow to 1500 mm, and weigh 55kg. The fishermen harvest fish which is 500 to 700mm in length. The sea bass also changes its sex. Most of the Sea Bass start off as males and then change into females after one breeding.

The Vietnam sea bass eats smaller fish, prawns, crabs and smaller sea bass. They are therefore cannibalistic in nature.

The Vietnam sea bass fetches a high price and has a good consumer demand. This is a rapidly growing industry. The main bulk comes from Australia although Sea Bass is farmed in many countries in south east Asia.

Siam Canadian with its strategically linked offices in Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Burma, India is a major exporter of Vietnam sea bass. We procure the fish and it to our local processing units. Our quality control team is very efficient. Having checked the fish for quality, it is processed and packed into germ free containers and shipped.

We have access to real time market information from the International Market. We are therefore able to provide you with excellent quality sea bass at extremely competitive prices.

Since Siam Canadian’s inception in 1987, it has been steadily growing and today occupies a very important place in the Global Market. Customer satisfaction is our primary concern. We can also locally customize your order and give it your own brand name and label.

Siam Canadian sells Vietnam sea bass as (1) Whole GGS and (2) Fillets. We have a long list of satisfied customers who keep coming back to us for buying Sea Bass. Sea bass as a fish product has immense potential market value and we at Siam Canadian can match up to your needs perfectly.

For price quotes and any further information on Vietnam Sea Bass, feel free to call us today at: info@siamcanadian.com

A Competitive, High Quality Range of Products from Siam Canadian

There are about 300 fish species like Boal fish, Hilsa and Myanmar Fish in Myanmar freshwaters. The fish fauna here includes many peculiar fish types. The fresh water fishes like Boal fish, Hilsa and Myanmar Fish are generally found in the Indawgyi Lake in Northern Myanmar. Inle Lake known for its crystalline waters has other endemic species.

The Burmese word for fish is Nga. Around 2000, Myanmar exported 26,900 tons of fish and prawn and export earnings went up to 74 million US dollars. Myanmar’s annual fish production is over 9,10,000 tons of fish and prawn. These are freshwater, as well as deep sea fish. There are more than 40,480 hectares of fish and prawn breeding ponds in Myanmar. The fishery industry forms a strong backbone to the Myanmar economy. Therefore, Myanmar’s fishery resources, play a definite role in the improvement of income and generation of employment.

The long coast line of Myanmar is 3000 kilometre and swamp along the coast is about 1.5 million hectares which serve as spawning, nursery and feeding grounds for aquatic organisms and brakish water fauna. A large amount of pelagic fish and demersal fish exist along the continental shelf which spreads over 228751 kilometres square.

There are three distinct fishing zones: onshore, inshore, and offshore. Freshwater fisheries consist of (a) fish culture (b) leasable fish (c) open fisheries. Marine fisheries have (a) inshore fisheries (b) offshore fisheries. Onshore fishermen use gears such as traps, stake net and cast net. Fishing gear is dependent on the ebb and flow of tide. In the inshore area fishermen use gilnets, drift nets, shore seine, small long lines, hand lines and cast nets. Hilsa is caught with a gear called encircling gilnets.

Myanmar fish is traditionally consumed in dried, salted, fermented, sauce and paste form. Recently fish exporters have made arrangements for ice making, cold storage, processing and handling. Small scale fishermen now carry ice and keep insulated fish holes or carry ice boxes (provided by processors) in their boats. Freshwater giant prawns are cultivated here. Shrimp forms the most important export. It accounts for nearly 50% of the export. Lately some marine fish like Barramundi, Red Snapper, Chinese Pomfret and Hairtail are being exported. Australia is the main market. Frozen shrimp is mostly exported to HongKong and to the United States and dried shrimp to the far east. In addition, Myanmar is one of the largest producers and exporters of Rohu, Hilsa, Katla, Mirgal, Ayer, Chital, Koi, Basa and Boal fish as well as many other fresh and seawater fish varieties.

Siam Canadian offers you a wide range of Myanmar fish like Boal fish, Hilsa, etc. which is unmatched in quality. We export to North America, Europe, Australia and other Asian countries. The consistent high quality of Myanmar fish and competitive pricing satisfies all our customers.

We at Siam Canadian have a highly experienced and knowledgeable team which combines local expertise with International standards, in order to bring you the best Myanmar fish. We also maintain strict quality control measures to ensure that you get the best. We also inspect every container prior to shipment. Because we have volume purchasing power we can offer you our products at a very competitive rates. We can assure you the best business deal in the International market.

Surimi is a much-enjoyed food product in many Asian cultures and is available in many shapes, forms, and textures. The most common surimi product in the Western market is imitation or artificial crab legs. Surimi is a useful ingredient for producing various kinds of processed foods. Sashimi is similar to sushi, primarily consisting of very fresh raw seafood, thinly sliced into pieces. Surimi is mainly made mainly from Cod, pacific whiting and Pollock. These processed in such a way to make it look, taste, with the similar texture as that of crab by adding natural additives. Main derivate products are seafood balls, Imitation crab sticks, imitation crab chunks, imitation shrimp, Seafood salads etc. Raw Surimi must be held at -20°F. Processed Surimi seafood’s may last up to year if frozen; 60 days if refrigerated. The main advantage of using Surimi based is that it gives the sample perception of having the real crab /shrimp or lobster at the fraction of the cost.

Vietnam is likely to surpass Thailand as the world’s leading shrimp, sushi and surimi exporter. Thailand has become the largest black tiger shrimp exporter with billion in exports in 1994. For years, frozen shrimps have been one of the leading food exports of Thailand, eleventh amongst Thailand’s largest exporting products with an export value of USD million.
